Charter Security have just undergone a full company audit under the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme and have passed with flying colours. In order to be assessed for the ACS accreditation Charter underwent rigorous audits on all aspects of the business to meet the standards set by the scheme, which is voluntary. The purpose of the process is to improve the overall standard of the security industry across the UK. In order to achieve the accreditation, private security suppliers must demonstrate the highest levels of performance in the broadest range of business operations.
This year’s audit took place over a period of four days and included head office meetings with departmental staff, site visits, and client discussions on service delivery/relationships and staff interviews following which Charter scored 113 points - an increase of 12 points on last year’s audit. This puts Charter in the top 15% of companies with the accreditation in the UK which a fantastic achievement. The company has shown continual improvement in scoring, demonstrating a commitment to quality for both our customers and staff alike. The continual improvement is set around effective controls and measures, these are set against our own service standards. It is a credit to the staff that work and maintain these records throughout the year.
Charter Security hold SIA accreditation for Security Guarding, CCTV, Door Supervision and Key Holding. The company was assessed on these accreditations and in line with the relevant British Standards and ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 and PASS 99-2012. Security Suppliers must meet 89 different performance indicators which are widely recognised as business improvement models.
